ABOUT ME

IMG_0370_edited.jpg
Hi! I'm Danielle, or Dax.
Whatever floats your boat, really.

I'm not your typical blogger, I guess. I didn't create this to manipulate you into buying shiny new products, or tell you how certain diets will change your life. I'm not going to tell you my makeup routine, or to drink some gross green smoothie to fix all of your problems. I am here, however, to let you know that you're not alone.

You can probably find me wherever there is food, some sort of sporting event, or coffee.

My beagle-lab mix, Molly Rue, made me a dog mom back in 2020, and no, you can't have her. She's one of the greatest blessings in my life, just below God's grace and just above ice cream.

I grew up in the great state of New York. And no, I'm not talking about the big apple with all of the glam lights and tall buildings. Instead, I was about an hour and a half upstate from the bells and whistles with deer roaming my backyard and tractors invading back roads in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Exciting stuff, right?

My college days were filled with classes that were supposed to turn me into some sort of Erin Andrews wannabe. Four years later and I proudly walked across the stage in Long Branch, New Jersey holding a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Monmouth University. After that, I wasn't fulfilled, so my love for children and all things literature inspired me to begin a Master's program to become an English teacher.

My life is pretty congruent with my self-diagnosed ADHD.

BECAUSE THEN GOD.

Somehow, all of these life experiences landed me in Charlotte, NC, where I currently work for Elevation Church on their social media team. I have no idea how in the world I qualified for a job there, but I'll tell you this: God's favor is REAL. So, Molly Rue & I packed our things and headed south a little while ago, and I don't think we'll be returning north any time soon.

Anyways, if you made it this long, congrats. I've never been good at summarizing myself in a page, let alone a paragraph. What an odd concept by the way. WE'RE SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT, am I right?

So, why am I sharing my life with you? Who am I to even have any sort of credibility? I am a sinner saved by grace. That's all I can really tell you. Spoiler alert (and so sorry to disappoint y'all), I am far from perfect. In fact, I mess up every single day. Living a life of faith is messy. But it's also incredibly beautiful. Life is a rollercoaster ride, and I'm just here to help you get through it by sharing my own mistakes and lessons in navigating it.

So strap in, if you dare, and get ready to grow in your faith alongside me.
